Anselm L. Diehl Producer/Founder

Films were always my life, but when my first short film was screened at a festival, when I was just sixteen years old, that sealed the deal. After high school I started working right away as a writer/director/producer on various projects, for seven years. During this time, I founded a commercial production company and ran an independent film festival in Cologne, growing it from 250 to 2,400 visitors, hosting international filmmakers, and working closely with sales agents. In 2024, the time was right to start working on my feature film debut. This marked the point of full dedication to cinema from then on and resulted in the founding of Thunderstorm Motion Pictures. Principal photography was completed in late 2025. My education includes ongoing Film Studies at Freie Universität Berlin, the Developing and Pitching Drama course at NFTS, the Business of Entertainment course at NYU Tisch, and the Entertainment Finance course at UCLAx. I am now developing my next film as a writer/director and working as a producer on the company’s slate.
